What Are You Grateful For?
San Francisco’s famous raw/vegan eatery opened on March 2nd (Wednesday), 2011, at the Rios Clementi Hale building, near the corner of Larchmont and Melrose.
Everything on Cafe Gratitude’s menu is organic, and there are raw, live, and cooked options — salads, sandwiches, veggie burgers, sushi, pizza, roasted potatoes, tortillas, polenta, wine, tea, coffee, juices and smoothies…
What makes the place so meaningful is that the people are earnestly nice, and affirmations are associated with each menu item!
The BLT sandwich is called I AM EXTRAORDINARY while the the Caesar salad comes with the affirmation I AM DAZZLING. The hazelnut milk smoothie is I AM LUSCIOUS.
Each bottle of water has a different word like JOY and FAMILIA.
The cafe has a maximum capacity for 60 people inside and can additionally accommodate 29 people on the patio — pets are welcome on the patio.
There are books and other things to buy aside from food at Cafe Gratitude!
(And a must-see is the affirmation hugely written inside the bathroom!)

Café Gratitude owners Matthew and Terces Englehart had created a board game, which somehow turned into a café where people could play the game. There are seven locations in Northern California. This Larchmont location is the very first in Southern California.
