Toy Donation at LF Stores Larchmont

I had heard of Toys for Tots before but it was only after scrutinizing this box at LF in Larchmont did I learn that it’s a foundation set up by the Marine Corps. In fact, it’s called Marine Toys for Tots Foundation or U.S Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.

Interesting fact from their website: Out of nearly two million nonprofit organizations in the United States, the Foundation was ranked #75 in the 2009 Philanthropy 400. About 97 cents of every dollar expensed went to program services and only three cents  to fundraising and operations.

The particular campaign that LF Larchmont is promoting involves donating toys that are unused. They must be new!!!  Just drop them in the box.
