Keith Stern at Chevalier’s Books
The author will present his one-man show at Chevalier’s Books this Sunday, November 22, at 11:00 am. The presentation is based on his new book Queers in History and will be followed by a Q&A and book-signing.
Subtitled The Comprehensive Encyclopedia of Historical Gays, Lesbians and Bisexuals, Keith Stern’s book is the first comprehensive biographical compendium of important historical and contemporary figures who were/are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. From Egyptian pharaohs, Catholic popes and Abraham Lincoln to Bishop Gene Robinson, Neil Patrick Harris and Angelina Jolie, Queers in History brings these figures to life from their work to their sexuality.
In the course of the show, the author will read from the letters and writings of famous LGBT figures using different voices developed with him by Andrew Jack, the same dialect coach who helped Robert Downey Jr with his English accent in the movie Chaplin.
Don’t miss the chance to see Keith Stern at Chevalier’s Books on Sunday at 11:00 am. Guaranteed to be a lot of fun!
