Celebrating Cabernet Franc

The lesser-known Cabernet Franc grape is about to have its time in the spotlight. This varietal typically grown in the Chinon region of France is catching the eye of California growers and wine makers. The versatility of the grape allows winemakers to make lighter and heavier styles that delight. We feature three different styles, LANG & REED from Lake County as our lighter style, SMITH WOOTON from Napa as the heavier wine and FOX RUN Cab Franc blend from New York somewhere in the middle. We believe that both wines express the true varietal flavor associated with Cabernet Franc.
