History: Chevalier’s Books opened its doors on Larchmont Boulevard in January of 1940.
In the news in late May / early June 2009 for being the place where L.A/ Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was spotted with his then-new journalist girlfriend KTLA-TV Channel 5 reporter Lu Parker.
Hours: Monday – Friday 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Holiday shopping season: Stay open to 7:00 p.m.
Holiday eve: Closes by 5:00 p.m.
Closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day
Has a children’s section, book signings and poetry readings.
