Dosa Truck Brings Indian Food to Larchmont
Sunday – May 30, 2010
Indian food comes to Larchmont Village on wheels!
Leena is the owner of the truck and the one in charge of their Twitter account @dosatruck.
So what is a dosa? It’s a South Indian sourdough crepe made from lentil and rice flour. Fillings can be smashed curried Indian potatoes; sweet potato; spinach, mushroom or cheese; or caramelized onions, mushroom and cheese.
Vegan dosas are available upon request. All dosas on the truck are $6.75 each. Samosas are $2 each, Masala Fries $3, homemade ginger limeade $2.50 and mango lassis $3. Lassis is a traditional Indian yogurt drink.
Latest sighting: June 13 (Sunday), 9:40 am. The truck left almost immediately upon seeing the Boy Scouts selling pancake breakfasts at the Bank of America parking lot.
