Larchmont Bungalow Pre-Trial

August 14, 2012

A quick update from Division 40 of the Criminal Courts Building in downtown LA.

The hearing this morning was for setting the trial date in the city’s case against the illegal restaurant Larchmont Bungalow. The judge has allowed the pre-trial hearing to be continued to August 30th, with Mr. Alan Fenster as the new criminal attorney for the defendant.

For those unfamiliar with this case, this is because Larchmont Bungalow has absolutely NO PERMIT to operate a restaurant or any kind of food-service business; the last permit issued for that space was for food-retail and it was revoked in 2009. The judge in the civil case has ruled that that revocation was proper.

The calendar shows that the criminal trial may finally be held in September.
