Noni Fashion Boutique Closes Shop

Larchmont Boulevard’s most famous longstanding independent fashion and art boutique NONI has closed shop.

Owned and managed by Elaine Lewis and Meghan Misaki, NONI was a favorite of Larchmont Village shoppers looking for the latest from Alice & Olivia, Anna Sui, and Verve Jewelry.

Rents demanded from various landlords along the boulevard have risen astronomically since the 2009 entry into Larchmont Village of the developer of the illegal restaurant Larchmont Bungalow.

Other recent closings of old-time Larchmont retailers and eateries include those of Chocoholics, La Bottega Marino and iWear. Supercuts is expected to close by the end of January 2014 as well, due to a lease hike.

UPDATE: As of 2023, Noni’s space is occupied by Levain Bakery.
