PERMANENTLY CLOSED after Christmas 2022.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we bring you this news -Shape House has had to make the devastating decision to close our doors permanently after Christmas. This decision was not made lightly and is entirely due to a number of missing IRS refunds, government fumbles on post-COVID support, yearly rent and insurance increases, paired with continued post-COVID hardships.

The hard reality is that closing a company that has had such a long and successful history always feels premature. However, with the vast majority of our community experiencing similar post-COVID hardships and with consumer patterns in the personal care space continuing to tighten with economic uncertainty on the horizon, if we were to continue pushing things further, we would risk proper compensation for our team who have all dedicated so much of their time and effort into building out this amazing company, which is a risk we are in no way willing to take. To the incredible humans that helped support, network, and frequent our spaces from the day the doors first opened, we owe you an immeasurable amount of gratitude. We would be remiss to not also acknowledge our community who came back after COVID and came back very regularly, Shape House has only endured as long as it has thanks to your support and for you we couldn’t be more grateful. You are the heartbeat of the Shape House locations that occupied Los Angeles over the last decade, thank you.

We are closing as a team that has been together for a large part of Shape House’s decade and we are doing so with gratitude.
