Little Armenia March

Unified Young Armenians are leading their annual ARMENIAN GENOCIDE COMMEMORATION EVENT in Little Armenia (East Hollywood) on Wednesday morning.

The March for Justice, as for the past 19 years, will begin at 10:00 am at the Armenian Genocide Martyr’s Square at the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Western Avenue.

Separately, there is a rally at the Turkish Consulate at 1:00 pm. The consulate is at 6300 Wilshire Blvd 90048. You can try to catch a shuttle at the Grove at 12:00 noon if you reserve a seat in advance by calling 888-924-1915.

Tens of thousands of community members, community and religious leaders, human rights activists, high-ranking politicians, as well as local, state, and federal government officials, are expected to participate in the morning march organized by UYA.

UYA is a non-partisan, non-religious, and a non-profit grassroots youth organization headquartered in Southern California. Its goal is to unify the community, encourage activism among the Armenian youth, as well as to advocate for justice and human rights.

* Little Armenia in Los Angeles is located slightly northeast of Larchmont Village, in East Hollywood.

California has the country’s largest population of people of Armenian descent, with more than 200,000 living in Los Angeles County.

Among Californians of Armenian descent are the Kardashians, the lawyer Mark Geragos, and former governor George Deukmejian.
