Friends of John C Fremont Library Now on Facebook

The Friends of the John C Fremont Library have gone live on Facebook!

Says new Friends president James Bartlett, “We wanted to connect with as many library users and friends as we could, so we thought that a Facebook page was the best way.”

Use the search term “Friends of John C Fremont Library” on Facebook to find their official page, which lists updates about the library, the popular monthly book sales and the ongoing city-wide campaign against reduced hours and layoffs at libraries throughout Los Angeles.

“The John C Fremont needs your support now more than ever, and connecting with the Friends and the library through Facebook or the Friends emailing list will help keep the library alive. Better still, become a Friend of the John C Fremont for $10 per year,” says Bartlett. Applications are available in the library and at the book sale, or you may simply leave a message for them on their Facebook wall.

The library is located at 6121 Melrose Avenue (cross street is June) and the Friends will accept donations, except for National Geographic magazines or out-of-date legal, medical, diet or text books.
