Creator of Jenga at Chevalier’s Bookstore!
Leslie Scott will be signing copies of her book About Jenga on Sunday, October 18th, from 6 to 8 pm at Chevalier’s. She is the creator of the globally famous game, and in her book she talks about her life and the development of Jenga.

TRIVIA: The word jenga is the imperative form of kjenga, the Swahili verb “to build”.
Jenga is played with 54 wooden blocks; each block is 3 times as long as it is wide, and slightly smaller in height than in width.
Leslie Scott was born and raised in Africa, and educated in Kenya, Sierra Leone, and England. She is one of the world’s few professional game designers.
